Struggling?

I am glad I don't belong to a rich and famous family. Those that can afford anything under the sun with it comes to money matters. I do believe that those people who has more has more secrets too.

My family are poor but not really the poorest of all. We are kind of first level poor if there's such thing as that. But even though I lack of most things, I'm happy that I don't have identity problems, unlike with some people specially who has money, they need some paternity tests just to make sure they belong to such family.

Well, the world may get all the materials things I have but I won't let go the true richness, the only treasure I have... that is Christ Jesus that is in me :).

For baby and grandma

Hubby's mom dropped by at our house one day with a big smile on her face co'z she has with her an extra large diaper for my baby of four months, I know it was quite big but it helps. It was a branded diaper reasons why I can't just let it go, anyways, I had to put on her during night time so I had no worries at all that someone might see it and thought of me a weird mom.

It was a packed of thirty pieces but hubby's grandma saw it and asked for some she thought that it maybe a baby diaper but since it's extra large in size it might also fit on her.  Sure did, it fits on her co'z she is no big woman and sure indeed she save a penny for a diaper. It is still good to have one rather than wearing nothing specially these days that an   adult diaper cost more.

So instead of bringing thirty, mom just brought twenty pieces co'z grandma had ten. It's just an ironic thing to think that a baby and a grandma shares the same size of diaper. lol!

Eating left-over food from last night

....friends came to eat lunch with us, and the food we just ate were left-over food from last night (hubby's little dinner party with his family).  Yes, it was hubby's birthday yesterday, but the celebration was a joint celebration because there were three of theme celebrates their birthdays this month (his dad's was-May 1, hubby's-May 5, and his younger sister Abi-is in May 16).

We cook fried noodles or pansit canton, fried tilapia, and I tried to make chicken cordon bleu for the first time, then Abi brought the cake and sodas. Aside from hubby's family minus his dad, hubby's aunt and uncle who lives   in Malabon came just to see hubby. Good thing we have food to offer them, after all it was good to see some of hubby's side of the family.

Hubby's Old Shoes

I cooked "pansit canton" (fried noodles) last night and we invited hubby's family for dinner. it's good to see them all came and they ate a lot too, in fact they almost ate all of the 3/4 kilo of pansit.

Hubby's dad asked for hubby's old shoes. He said its good to use when he will drive the jeepney. Hubby was hesitant to give it away because it was his favorite too. But he gave it anyway and I just encouraged him saying that its time to get a new shoes, who knows the Lord might give him a nike inflict wrestling shoes because he gave his old one to Dad (hehehe!)

Broken Sink!

After a week of moving stuff, we finally made it. All of our stuff are already moved but our hearts still remains though. We finally had our first night at our new house last night and it felt weird because its so quiet there at ten o'clock in the night while in the City where we're used to is still alive.

Our stuff are sitting all over the place, messy and unorganized. So distressful to look at! We also put some bulbs and we found out that some electrical outlets are broken and cause out some problems. And one thing more the kitchen sink is not that nice and it has rust on it. How I wished we have more money to buy new stuff and do some change again, but we have no cash anymore... we consider ourselves broke at this moment. Hopefully the next days we will financially alright, only, we don't know how would that happen. We'll leave it all to God!

Godchildren+toys=christmasgifts

Hubby watched "Jillian... Mamamasko Po" teledrama on channel seven, he enjoyed watching it and he even shared the story with me after. This teleseries is about a human doll who is a friend of Santa Claus.
It's just amazes me to see hubby enjoying tv shows for kids. It made me more want to  have kids now than ever.  I wonder who among myself and hubby would buy more toys for our kids when that day comes.
And speaking for toys.. it just remind me of what gifts should we give to our "inaanaks" (godchildren) this Christmas time and to think I have loads of them. oh! goodness part of me would like to hide or runaway from them or go somewhere far and come Feb. just to stay from them.
Sigh.. I felt bad now and even more guilty because of feeling this, but this is how I really feel as of now.
Why I feel so oblige of giving them gifts... I don't know if it is because I don't want to disappoint the parents  or I just really love the kids?... hhhmmm! I think I am both. And buying for almost 30 of them makes me my hubby's enemy!

Old to New again!

What we had at the dinner fellowship were four boxes of yellow cab pizzas, pansit malabon (fried noodle) and a lot of different sodas for drink. We thought that the food won't be enough for us because there wee a lot of people who came but alas there were more leftovers still.
What really amazes us in that house was the new looking contemporary sofa because we knew that this sofa were old and looked rubbish and now it looks as good as new.
Hubby and I were thinking of buying one when we get our own house. Just like this one.

Doorware!

Before we left the Philippines, hubby and I went to get a double A battery for our camera at ace hardware. Of course as hubby been looking and looking batteries upon batteries I was busy looking at the hardware area too wishing that whenever God would give us a house I would buy this and that. What fascinates me the most was the door lock thing y or as others prepare to say as Kwikset, I been in that area till hubby and I need has to left the store.
I am really in love with everything that regards to house thing most specially the stuff that I can use for cooking or    the dining sets stuff.
Just loving that corner of the store. Can't help it!

Caley's Birthday

I remember clicking on "yes" option when my friend sent the facebook party/event invitation. I really thought hubby and I could make it. We never anticipated the fact that our visitor friend will be leaving early the next day. So a send off dinner was a must.  The birthday party starts at three in the afternoon in a two hours place away from home (two hours when there is no traffic and more when there is).
Her was his tita Rocks and Tito Dolf who made his 1st birthday invitations as their gift to him and beside that is one of their business too making party stuff.
It was Caley's birthday and I remember cutting some tiny picture of him for his souvenirs gift. I just imagine that when I will have my own baby Caley I might be doing same thing. I must be very excited then :)

Got this picture from ate rocks!
