Chicken Adobo with egg

This chicken adobo with egg was made by my sister-in-law Lian. She's a good cook as well. Honestly I really like  it when someone in the house could cook also because that means I don't have to do all the cooking alone. But I don't know if she can cook still co's she is pregnant.
Anyhow... I am hoping for good food eating ahead again. :)

To those who loves hot food.
This one is for you.

Saute bacon (amount depends on you) with onion and garlic using butter.
When the bacon is almost brown in color add in the mushroom.
Cook in three minutes then serve and enjoy!
It's easy as that :)

Beef Mechado

I'm thinking of cooking beef mechado. I just can't to get beef meat co'z there is none in here (I mean the little house market here in our place).

I went online last to see what I need to buy if in case I'll get to the supermarket.
This is what I found from: Panlasang Pinoy.com

Recipe:
3 cloves garlic, crushed
1 piece large onion, sliced
2 lbs beef chuck,cubed
8 ounces tomato sauce
1 cup water
3 tbsp cooking oil
1 slice lemon with rind
1 piece large potato, cubed
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/2 tsp. ground black pepper
2 pcs. bay leaves (laurel)
salt to taste

Here's how to cook it:
Heat cooking oil in a pan then saute the garlic and onion.
Put-in the beef and saute for about 3 minutes or until color turns light brown
Add the tomato sauce and water then simmer until the meat is tender. Add water as needed
Add the soy sauce, ground black pepper, lemon rind, laurel leaves, and salt then simmer until excess liquid evaporates
Put-in the potatoes and cook until the potatoes are soft (about 15 to 25 minutes)
Place in a serving plate then serve hot with rice. Share and Enjoy!

I will definitely post pictures soon.

Pancake (my blog entry for the today)

I was craving for something sweet yesterday morning for breakfast but there's nothing in the table and even inside the fridge. So I looked inside the cupboard to see what's in store there for cooking. Then I saw a box of ready to cook pancake and so I took enough courage to cook it since I really am a not good cook when it comes to pancake.

Here's a picture of my yummylicious pancake :)

Here's how: mix 400grams of ready to cook pancake mix with 2 eggs, 1/4 cooking oil, 240ml cup of water. grease pan with butter, then put of 1/4 cup of pancake mixed.
You can also add any add on you like, as for me I added chocolates and almonds!
I love it!

Spaghetti Delight

I went to my hubby's aunt's house in Laguna-Phils last Saturday with a bunch of hubby's mom-side family. Though I have this weird feeling towards the young ones but I am grateful I have good times with the oldies. It sad to say though that there is no one my age:(. I felt like I was left alone..., but God is good and so I was okay.
I cooked spaghetti as our food share, I did not mix the sauce with noddles...and so it looked like this. It was yummy and they said it taste like greenwhich spag. I was happy when I heard the compliment of course.  But honestly.. hubby is the only connection I have with those people.

yummy spaghetti :)

Food and Gifts :)

Last night was good but kinda tiring. I cooked food for the whole family  (my family of three then hubby's mom and three siblings). It's good to have them at the house actually but I just can't help myself but wanting to just go to bed and forget everything. But of course I don't wanna spoil the moment so instead of resting I forced myself  to to get up and excite myself by opening my baby's gift's even the clock did not hit twelve yet.

It was good opening my baby's presents, it made us all lively and made the almost quiet house alive and giggly again. How I wished though as I opened the gift that a someone had slipped a box of jansport backpacks gifts for my out of town usage specially now that my friends and I are planning to go up North to celebrate New year!

I soo want you

Ooh gosh... I'm really into wanting this one. I was at the grocery store awhile ago and I was looking on in the meat section I was thinking of cooking lumpia shanghai for dinner, but the thought of the preparation made me decide to go for roasted chicken instead. But my cravings is still here with me. I'm hoping I'll have this food on or before Christmas.

Hungry mode :(

We ate early later this evening than usual because hubby suggested a pasta food for dinner. Even though I was too tired to do anything and pasta was not on my menu, I still give in to hubby's craving for one condition... that he would be the one to prepare the food.

I'll be posting probably by my next post the food that hubby cooked, but the picture below is actually one of my friends that I copied. This is just to emphasize my cravings for food. Actually.. this don't satisfy me but just  fuel up the grumbling stomach.

Food... food.. food :)

As I post these pictures, I am also thinking what might people think. Probably they'll say that "no wonder she double her size in a month." I am a foodie, food is one thing that I love and cooking is one of my passion. Whenever hubby and I went to a mall, we won't leave the mall without visiting one of its food place.

Pan Cake attempt

A couple days ago when I was lying on our couch I felt the urged of doing something and of course first thing that came to my mind was cook. So then, I asked hubby if he would like some pan cake for snacks and he said he would be delighted to have some.

So, I turn on my laptop and google how to make pan cake from scratch. Good thing I have most of the ingredients in my kitchen, then I started mixing eggs with flour and add the others. To my surprise my pancake turns out like a crepe.

So what I did was.... add mango to my pancake to make it taste like mango crepe.

Here's the results :)
(I know it doesn't look tempting)... but hubby loves it!

Youth and Billiards

Whenever I went to my church I always saw a young people hanging around in there. Seeing them makes me remember the old times where I was still very young and part of the youth group of my church.  Our church missionary house was our hang-out place, we'll just leave that place whenever it's time for us to go home.

The mission centre serves as our meeting place as well whenever our group would like to do something outside such as; food tripping at wendy's, kfc or mcdonald. We also play billiards at the nearby billiard place. It sad to say though  that in spite of those times I never learn how to really play it. All I did was watched and cheer and hand them the billiards supplies whenever they needed them. What a life! I became my friends personal billiard caddy thing-y!

But now life is different and a little complicated, going to the billiard place never came to mind anymore. All our hang-outs now are more on coffee house, restaurants, each others house and of  course the undying mission's centre.
