This blog is not mainly about food, cooking and recipes. It's just about anything.

..still open for x'mas gifts!..

What I really want supposed to be x'mas gifts is a brand new ipod, but our budget is tight and we need to consider the important things first I put it aside first hoping that someday hubby will give me one. I don't lost hope... I am still positive over this things.
I do have another alternative for gifts,  though its past Christmas already... but still i hope someone will get a flash drive cuff links for me. This silver cuff links are really adorable and its a perfect gift for someone special. There are lots of choices and I already have a favorite!

Magic Karaoke

Parties are all over... everyone is celebrating the birth of Jesus.  I just hope that we won't forget the reason why we celebrate this season... and we too must not only focus on the baby Jesus but instead look on what He has done to save us.

Hubby and I together with some friends went to visit our kuya whom we seldom see (  I mean most of my friends didn't see for a long time). It was indeed a good time.
The food  was good... I mean very good and all our tummy looks big.
It was so much fun and I wish we had a karaoke and a good microphone, it could have add more fun to the reunion Christmas party that we had.

Now a good news!

it's food everywhere, and I cannot resist it!

...so help me God!

Eye Problem

I complain about my eyes when we were in Cambodia because I can't see clearly I mean there was blurriness specially looking at like ten meter away object and can't even recognize people.  I suspect that this happen because of too much computer exposure.
Last night hubby was a bit mad at me because I was in front of our computer for a long time again, and he warned me about my eyesight. But despite of the  warning I still continue with what I do. When things with eyes get bad again... I might consult spotting scope to see if my eyes is not doing good.  I just hope though that it won't be that bad and my eyes just needed some rest.

Cypress Trees

When I was in Ontario. I love to look at houses surrounded with tress. These houses are so amazing and they looked like mansions or a tiny palace inside a beautiful garden of trees.
There was this one time when our friend and her dad brought us to Niagara Falls and coming back home was no easy trip because of a jammed traffic. My friend's dad who knows some road that's less traveled  maybe because  some people don't know about it and it's quite a long drive.
And since our only problem was the traffic so went to that way.
Wow! we passed by a lot of very amazing places... some place I never thought exist! It was a very tremendous view indeed.
Here are some sample on how to put or design your cypress tree if you had one. Places like this I have seen in my trips too.

Parties are over

It's been ten crazy days that passed (it's crazy in a good way.) Christmas parties are finally over and busyness is not that crazy either and guest had finally went back home. My days are back to normal again and my nose doesn't bleed anymore because of trying to speak in English all the time.
This first paragraph may sound that I am happy... but I'm not. I am sad that my friends have gone or went home. We love our work like only God knows... but this is one sad work too, because you'll come to love the people you work with then after two weeks they'll be gone again.
Coming back home after dropping them off at the airport was no funny things... hot tears run down my cheek because I miss my friends and don't know when we'll see each other again.
My friends are no young people.. in fact they are retired adults who even in some sickness give God their time, money and effort just to make these Filipino children get present this Christmas time. Seeing them leave made me wonder if I'll able to see them again. (and that made me emotional).
Last night was our last party with them, and this time it was not for the kids anymore but for all of us. There's a lot of food again and because of too much eating I am now thinking of slimming pills that work or effective and would make loose in just a week.
Happy Sunday everyone!

wanted to cry!

I want to cry but there's no tears and my eyes are dry but heart cries to the Lord my God. Praise you dear Lord!

Web Hosting!

I've been trying like crazy on how to manage a website. When I started blogging I never knew anything about it, and actually even to this very moment I really don't know still. It was my friend to got me into all of this and I am thankful so much that she helped me and she was very patient with me.
There's actually a lot of websites that are willing to help us on how managed web hosting. All that we do is understand and follow their instructions and you will be good. As for me... I am really slow in understand commands. Their are very simple instructions that become complicated as I analyzed it.  Very funny but very true as well.
I am actually amazed how other people get it so easily. I wish I am like them so I can manage my own website.

Godchildren+toys=christmasgifts

Hubby watched "Jillian... Mamamasko Po" teledrama on channel seven, he enjoyed watching it and he even shared the story with me after. This teleseries is about a human doll who is a friend of Santa Claus.
It's just amazes me to see hubby enjoying tv shows for kids. It made me more want to  have kids now than ever.  I wonder who among myself and hubby would buy more toys for our kids when that day comes.
And speaking for toys.. it just remind me of what gifts should we give to our "inaanaks" (godchildren) this Christmas time and to think I have loads of them. oh! goodness part of me would like to hide or runaway from them or go somewhere far and come Feb. just to stay from them.
Sigh.. I felt bad now and even more guilty because of feeling this, but this is how I really feel as of now.
Why I feel so oblige of giving them gifts... I don't know if it is because I don't want to disappoint the parents  or I just really love the kids?... hhhmmm! I think I am both. And buying for almost 30 of them makes me my hubby's enemy!

Roasted Chicken in mind!

I am hungry. It's almost twelve noon and my tummy shout for food already, and what's in my mind is mang inasal chicken for lunch but I am not quite sure if hubby would say yes since we need to crosscut out food expenses.
As for me I am still hoping that he'll say yes let's go.

My friend runs 5k each week

Yes, my friend runs 5k each week for a month now I think. While me on the other hand is busy eating and have spent 5k for a month (joke...5k is too much). Part of me would like to join with her running quest, bu t my problem is I afraid to run for I might b pregnant (who knows) and because of excessive exercise I will lost it. This is one reason why when my period comes its drives me to tears because I might have done the running if I have known I'm not!
Well... I'm kind used to it though and have accepted that this is what we called life... its survival of the fittest! I might as well wait and see if in the future I could use a best hgh supplements as a diet supplement.
Though this is hard, I still believe that someday things will happen as long as you believe it will happen!

good day everyone!

Will I lose Fat When not eating breakfast?

Just woke up and on facebook already. I saw on my friends wall post that they just had breakfast and reading it made me hungry. But I don't think if hubby and I would eat breakfast, I think we will wait until lunch since its already past breakfast :(.
Do you think that skipping breakfast will help me lose weight? It seems reasonable if it does but some people say it doesn't really help at all and I am just making myself starve and crave more food. Ooh goodness, is working out and proper diet is the fastest way on how to lose weight fast? Then losing fat is really a tough decision specially to those  who don't have any patience in working out and proper eating. arrrgh!

Blackheads problem

Whenever I stare at hubby's face I can't help myself but look at those horrible looking blackheads. So when I saw one I really make sure that I take it out in whatever ways. I usually prick it even when there are people around. I know that some people would go to the derma house to get it done by some pros. But to me I do it myself no matter how painful it is.
There are other ways on how to get rid of blackheads that is actually safe too, because if you don it wrong and it got infected you are in more trouble.
I am actually worried that I might get more blackheads in the future specially when hubby and I moved to Cavite and hubby need to take the motor bike to take us to the office. I am hoping and praying that the Lord will give us a car soon. (a car is impossible for us to have these days but if it God's will who can hinder anyway?!).

Medics Scrubs

When I was young I thought that its hard or rather impossible for me to be able to have medical people as a friend. I thought I will never accomplish anything because for me it was impossible.

But then this I have loads of friends whose profession and career is in the medical friends, and what most interesting about my friends is; they are in different nationalities. I have a nurse and physical therapiest friend from US and Canada, I have a doctor and Midwife friend for UK and lots here in the Phils too.

I felt so blessed knowing these people and being their friend too. And as for my nurses friends  uses and needs nursing scrubs for work. I wish to see them wear their scrubs to work too!

Chicken Curry with Squash

Some delectable recipe

1 kilo of Chicken
1 pack of coconut milk
1 clove of garlic
1 pc. onion
a quarter slice of squash
1/2 teaspoon of salt
pepper

saute the garlic and onion, add the chicken,  wait till the chicken is slightly cook (put a little bit of salt here), add the squash and let it simmer until you see that the squash is half cooked already, then add the coconut milk, let it simmer for 3 minutes add the remaining salt and pepper.
Then served warm.

happy eating! :)

The devil wears Prada

I like this movie a lot and in fact I kept the dvd that my friend who resides in Canada left for me, but some reasons I also give it away. The plot of the story interest a lot of woman who works in fashion companies and has bosses who in the like of Miranda's character.

A lot of woman will indeed die just to get hired in a famous fashion company and would do everything their boss would say even if it means a break-up of other good relationship. In this good to see how Anne H. change her outfit every day when she goes to the office to impress her boss. And yes, the Prada shoes that she wears in this movie were all wonderful.

Women I think who likes shoes drools out when they were watching this movies. :)

Cyber days

Hubby and I went house tripping again the other day in hoping to find a good-near-spacious-cheap rent to own house in Cavite. We did saw a lot of good one and in fact more than our we expected to see but of course when the house is good, expect too that the price high.

We visit this model house of a new subdivision named "cyberville" which I really like so much, but the price hurts hubby's mind (because he think and think on how we will be able to afford this house), because no matter what he does or how he do it, our monthly support won't really cover the monthly payment.

I asked the lady agent why the subdivision is called cyberville and she told me that they want this place to be a cyber place (I don't  know what she really meant. lol). Anyways if we will get this place all our mondays will be cyber monday and our friday will be Black Friday or all our days will be cyber days. hahahaha.
My godson would be very thrilled to know that ninangs place is cyber place.

Meet People today!

Hubby and I went to meet some people this morning. Meeting someone you don't know or whom you will see the first is not a good feeling. It feels awkward, and as for me I have this suspicious or negative thoughts sometimes towards the person. And because of those thoughts I often prayed that the Lord will protect us from people whose desire is to hurt others. This is the same thing when a new found friend would like to meet me at MOA, I felt so nervous meeting her so I asked hubby to come with me :).
Awkward suspicious feeling is quite normal when new things comes our way, it maybe simple something like HDMI cables or just anything in general. Our suspicion is there if having this is good or not, it is worth the penny or not. As for me and hubby... meeting kuya RB today was fun!

Food tripping in Cambodia!

We went to visit the temples in Siem Reap Cambodia during this time.
After we finished visiting two two temples, our group decided
to went somewhere for lunch and our van driver brought us to this
expensive restaurant that made us all kinda annoyed because we told him
to bring us to a regular restaurant not  the fancy one. I don't know
if he understand us or not, but anyways, these are the food that hubby
and I ordered.

(pork with pineapple)

weight loss supplement for me

My friend is bragging about how much weight she lost through workout and healthy eating. She told this while we were feasting because it was our team leader house blessing. As for me who getting bigger and there eating with them felt quite ashamed of myself, but theres nothing I can do to refrain myself from the food because I was starving since breakfast.
She actually told us that the best way to really loose weight is workout and  take best weight loss supplement. But hubby won't allow me to take some pills due to we are trying to get me preggy as always. So we won't take any risk specially this time.

Insomnia

There were nights that I can't get myself to sleep again this time... meaning my body is back to my normal Philippine sleeping habit again. After we arrived from Canada I slept very early as early as eight o'clock at night but now its back to one o'clock in the morning again.
I wonder if I need some best sleep pills to help me sleep early and wake up late. Or this has a side effect that I should not risk to get. I actually sometimes consider of taking sleeping pills specially during busy times that my body really need some rest for the other busy day that comes. I am just afraid since not one from my friends did yet.

Old to New again!

What we had at the dinner fellowship were four boxes of yellow cab pizzas, pansit malabon (fried noodle) and a lot of different sodas for drink. We thought that the food won't be enough for us because there wee a lot of people who came but alas there were more leftovers still.
What really amazes us in that house was the new looking contemporary sofa because we knew that this sofa were old and looked rubbish and now it looks as good as new.
Hubby and I were thinking of buying one when we get our own house. Just like this one.

Just Ain't Right!

This is one of Siem Reap, Cambodia's exotic food,
a spider-soaked with wine before frying.
Our friend found this in the market and they tried it
but I just can't do it. No matter what do it feels just
ain't right!

I was sooooooooo glad no one dares me!

tiny potatoes

This was my very first time to see peeled small potatoes.
I was impressed on how patient the one who did this, so I asked
hubby to take picture of me holding the bag of potatoes.

...more food to me :)

Its hard to go diet when you are in another place because all is new and different to you. All you wanted to do is try everything and have some more in foods or dishes that you like best.
I felt bad for my friend who workout for more than a year and went diet here and there, but its hard for here to do her regular routine in Cambodia... so, theres nothing she can do but eat and eat more.
She refuse to eat during our last days there  because some people said that she should stop eating because she is getting bigger again. I felt bad for her and I was annoyed to some who said rude comments about her.  If I could only give Lipofuze to her without spending a lot of money I probably would just to help her ease such negative emotion towards people who are tactless and say mean things.

A picture from afar!

This is my friend and her husband during their wedding pictorial, so as their official photographer were busy taking of their photos.. so hubby was also. Though this is blurry one and from afar.
In Canada, based from what I have learned... one of their costume is: the bride gives gifts or Bridal Jewelry to her bridal party. I am not sure though if my friend did give gifts to hers.  The wedding was fun and nice. I am really thankful I got invited! :)

Coffee (tim hortons)

Pix-my friends friend was the one who picked us up at Toronto airport
when we arrive. It took us two hours to get to Elmira ( a small town in Ontario)
where my friend Liss family lives.
It was twelve midnight already when we arrived at their house. So along
the way Pix dropped by at Tim Hortons to get us coffee.

Office Stuff for Kuya

My team leader house just got renovated  or I mean Joshua and his family just moved to a new renovated house. The house as a lot of rooms and he even has a mini library and an office. Well his office needs some modern office furniture that will match with his modern personality.
When I'll the opportunity to see their house again things that I am sure that will happen (haha) I will definitely suggest that he get some stuff for his office.

Sweaty face

The temperature here in Siem Reap is just like in the Philippines very hot and humid. We were all sweating in the ministry area as we did our hygiene thing with the kids. Our team are all getting darker and as I look my face in the mirror when I showered the second around I was worried I might get pimples because I had an oily and sweaty face. I am worried that when I get one I won't be able to treat it and it will go bad and become an acne. I knew some people that don't know to treat acne reason why theirs go big and look gross!
I am hoping though that I'll get some beauty treatments and rest when I get home.

Printer in Mind

While I was in the midst of ministry  today, my mind still find time to day dream or probably out of need too reasons why I was thinking of things.
I was thinking of a small portable printer that our team can carry wherever we may go. I was thinking of printing some stuff actually that was kind of related to the ministry. I thought of that because its hard print something of what you like it to be when you are in some other place. It would be a big help if there are some catalog printing place around the area, but sad thing there is none and no printer to use too.
Well anyway...some things can still wait till we'll be back home. :)

Seriously

I am still in bed as I am writing this post.  I don't have jet lag but I have a flu reasons that I am staying a bit in bed. My worries is... how about if this won't go away till our Saturday flight for Cambodia? huuhuuu! I don't like that thought.
I seriously need a body massage too. I just hope that I know how to follow these instructions  I saw on massage therapy program online and if I did know how to do this... can I do it to myself? I think I can't I need someone to do it for me.
I don't when will I gonna have massage... but I needed it no matter when.

a pastor with a muscle

My friend and I were talking about her youth pastor of how he takes care of himself, she even describe him as a vain person... well, in a good way though. He is not that tall type of guy very slim but not thin. He also goes to his gym schedule without excuses.
What bugles me is... though he is not big of a guy... he has a muscle. So I am wondering if it happens because of the regular gym that he does or if he is taking muscle building supplements to build those muscles. I would love to see hubby with those muscles also. It may sound funny but really I would love to.
Hubby kept on telling me that he wanted to go to a gym, but the problem is... it's not happening.

Weighed Yesterday

Yes... that is totally correct, I weighed myself yesterday and the other day and the day before the other day. In short I kept on weighing myself when I saw the weighing scale. And this is not right.
Before I went on a holiday I just weigh a little above one hundred forty 'lbs, and when I weighed while in holiday I gained five 'lbs more. When I weighed myself yesterday, I found out that I gained nine 'lbs total in a month holiday. This super not right.
So, while I was eating and eating my friend on the other hand did everything she could to lose weight and she even look for an online weight loss program on the net and she told people about this and soon I'm sure she will ask me to do the same I mean do the program thing.
I'm hoping to the max though that I will indeed do something to lose even just a pound.

In Memory...

said in memory not because my friends have died or anything, all I want to say is... in memory of all good crazy days in highschool with my friends.
Many years way back (I'm not that old though) but it really seems the days of long ago... when I was in my third year in highschool and all was planning on what to wear on prom night party. As everyone were buying theres... I, in the other hand were asking my grandmom friends if they have a gown that I can borrow for that night. And yes indeed someone lend me a pink dress to wear.
It was good to see friends bragging about their prom dresses while i was trying to avoid the discussion. hahaha!
I won't forget those times because it has to do with who I am now!

Flax for him

My friend husband got a mild stroke a year ago, praise God that in spite of what happen to him, he never loses hope from God. He can't walk, talk or do anything for awhile, but nowadays he can stand for a couple of hours and preach during Sundays at his church.
Three weeks ago a friend here in Elmira brought us to Farmers Bulk store where you can find anything nuts and other good stuff.  While we were looking my friend saw these seeds and was very happy to found it and when we came to see what she'd found we saw flax seeds and we learn from her the benefits of flax seed and how good it is to our body and her husband just needed it.
It's a good thing that she found flax seed and I also knew what is it.

My friends hubby

My friend Liss is three weeks married now. She has a house she bought from an old lady. We helped her setting up thing and kind of cleaning the house a bit. Her hubby though is out for two weeks to a moose hunting. She told us that she went crying a while ago when he called up because she misses him. Who wouldn't anyway miss a husband who is away for two weeks.
She has a very interesting husband though.. a very handy man. He fixed trucks as a living, he did not finishes high school because he's parents are menonite and doesn't believe the importance of education, but he is very smart though and I like him. He drinks and he likes cigars too, I wonder though if he has tired Acid cigars. I don't really know what it is actually but maybe some people I know has tried it already. I just don't know if I would like it myself because  I am not into cigars, but if its kind of a coffee.... I might try ;)

Hotspring swimming!

We went to Banff, a town in the middle of a park Alberta Canada. This is a very beautiful place.
Our friend Dennis and Karen, a very beautiful couple too brought us to this place. We stay at Ptarmigan Inn for three nights. They brought us around the park and took us to the famous tourist places there. During at night they would also took us to the hotspring pool. At first I did not believe them when they told me that they would be bringing us to the pool because its fall time and actually almost spring already and still swimming outdoor. We did not know that it was true and its a hotspring too.
We did not bring any swim wear with us when we came, the good thing was you could actually rent a swimming attire from there. We never thought of anything like that would happen though reason that the short that hubby brought was like men's running shorts or a regular short he uses in the Phils.
And as for me.. I'm pretty sure they won't allow me swimming with t-shirt on.

My friend faith

My friend Sarah has an aunt named Faith. We talked a lot about her and I really wanted to her so bad.
Faith is a special lady, she is 51 years old and she is working too.
God gave me the privileged to see her almost three weeks ago and that meeting made me almost cry. She is living with her mom who is a very lovely lady and is seventy-five years old and still very healthy and is taking care of Faith. When I saw grandma I thought that the reason why the Lord haven't take her yet because no one will take care of Faith the way her mom does.
I just don't know  would happen with these people when the one who loved them the most would be taken away from them.  I just hope that  people like them has disability insurance  because it would be good if they had one.
Seeing my friend Faith lightened up my spirit and feeling the loved of grandma refreshes my soul.

Chili con Carne today

Hubby is eating chili con carne made by our host yesterday. She made a lot of it that we are still eating it today for lunch. We like it though that is why we don't want to cook another dish.
I have cooked "adobo" a Filipino dish yesterday for IT Canada staff lunch.  They said it was good, I just don't know if they really mean what they say or they just are polite. :D I cooked it for almost an hour... goodness, they don't have the pan that we use in the Phils to make the taste better. hahaha. Funny, but I just found out that.

Just don't like it!

Four days ago, a friend invited us for a movie at their beautiful house at Upper Wellington, Hamilton. We ate dinner first before watching the movie. This friend of ours bragged a lot how good his movies are and ofcourse he said because his laptop I think was kind of a blu ray compatible or something like that. Well the vision was quite good because it was blue ray indeed but what we don't like was the movie itself because it was horrible.
wuah! we just don't like it... we feel like it just wasted our time. So I just found out too, that no matter how good your tv and your audio is when the movie is not good...it is not good still.

Today

I've been into a lot of eating today. First early in the morning I got cereal, coffee and a toast, then we hit the road for  a less than two hours drive to my friends grandparents at the country side. And there we got served a lot of good food too. Mashed squash, potatoes, beef, salad, apple pie and a lot more. Whew... I've got a lot of eating. And when we return home we met our friends parents at tim hortons for dinner. And after that I went to my newlywed couple friends house. In there I never thought that I'll gonna cook some chilli and can't help myself but have some again because it was good.
When I looked upon her herbs or spices though I was amazed because there were a lot of kind.  I wonder if she has put some best protein powder  to make her chilli taste good because it did taste good and different.  I am hoping that if I go back to the Philippines I'll be able to cook some food in here fo rmy friends.

Doorware!

Before we left the Philippines, hubby and I went to get a double A battery for our camera at ace hardware. Of course as hubby been looking and looking batteries upon batteries I was busy looking at the hardware area too wishing that whenever God would give us a house I would buy this and that. What fascinates me the most was the door lock thing y or as others prepare to say as Kwikset, I been in that area till hubby and I need has to left the store.
I am really in love with everything that regards to house thing most specially the stuff that I can use for cooking or    the dining sets stuff.
Just loving that corner of the store. Can't help it!

..gotta cook!

It's funny and scary as well thinking that people or friends here where we are now thought that I am a good cook. I don't exactly know where did they find that funny information because I never thought of myself as a good cook.
Well I won't deny the fact that I love cooking but I don't rate myself as good one. All dish that I cooked was experimental. When I did it first time and tasted good... it won't be that good enough the second one.
Yesterday I was forced to cook because they were telling me to do it. (sigh) I made baked chicken as I did it in the Phils. but I lessen up the spices and salt coz I know people here don't use salt as much as I like it. And the result was not that good and I know they don't appreciate it that much either. After that we visited some other friends for dinner and a lady told me that I have to cook for their ministry because they were told I am a good cook. I want to faint or melt or just vanish away with the wind. (sigh).
Anyways.. If they want it then I will! so help me God!

Caley's Birthday

I remember clicking on "yes" option when my friend sent the facebook party/event invitation. I really thought hubby and I could make it. We never anticipated the fact that our visitor friend will be leaving early the next day. So a send off dinner was a must.  The birthday party starts at three in the afternoon in a two hours place away from home (two hours when there is no traffic and more when there is).
Her was his tita Rocks and Tito Dolf who made his 1st birthday invitations as their gift to him and beside that is one of their business too making party stuff.
It was Caley's birthday and I remember cutting some tiny picture of him for his souvenirs gift. I just imagine that when I will have my own baby Caley I might be doing same thing. I must be very excited then :)

Got this picture from ate rocks!

Tired of!

I am tired of people telling me I look bigger each day they saw me. Well I don't really care if I get bigger as  long as I don't ask money from them for food or anything. I don't want to blame all of my good friends and my loving husband who give me food or invite me to parties and dinner out.
I think all I need is the determination and discipline to get fit. And a diet pills are not even my option because I am afraid of the side effects I may suffer after taking diet pills.
I am praying and hoping that I'll able to have time and energy to walk every night to burn calories.

Funny

Hubby wants a big body, probably its because he is tired of being skinny and tired of listening to people to told him to get his body big. Well what can he do anyway, no matter how much amount of food he ate, nothing really happens to his body.
If there's only a way where he could get bigger body and I get skinny in a day... hubby and i might get it no matter how expensive it is.
I once went to a gym before and i saw different kind of testosterone supplement to help a person build great muscle. But I am thinking though how came most guys would like to have big muscles and everything where its doesn't really look appealing to me.

Take a look

A lot of people now a days are crazy about dieting and drinking diet pills. Some of them become addicted to it and got serious side effects, one reason why I don't drink diet pills because of the side effect that I might suffer later.
Before we should take any medicine or specially if its a diet pill we should go see a doctor first and ask if it is really safe to drink one or see alli reviews. We should be cautious so that this would not end us up in the hospital dying.
I have a friend who are into diet and exercise and she lost thirty five pounds already. awesome! How i wish I also have  the patience and perseverance that she has.

Milk that is good for babies.

Two of my friends are expecting, one is anytime soon in October and the other is in November. That is so .......... I don't know felling since I get married two years ahead of them and no sign for baby yet. whew!
I am in between of wanting a baby so much and not really want it now. I want it since I really would like to have a family too. I don't want it because I have loads of plans in my mind that having a baby will just ruin it all.
But when I talked to my pregos friend... it made me want too. Specially seeing them preparing for the babies coming. One of them talked to me on how to increase breast milk so that I'll do it too when I get pregnant. She is really a good friend and a good teacher too. She love to teach her friends things that she knows and would benefits us. Probably when I get pregnant and would breast feed I will just eat more soup because that's what my old people taught me.
Ooh talking about this just made me want to get pregnant!

Baked Fish with cheese

Have you heard about baked fish?

There again!

A few days ago, hubby and I went to the smoke emission testing place to get our office car a smoke emission test.  The car passed from the test though since before we went there we dropped in the car carwash place for a decarbonization thing. I found out how hassle is to have a car, well, not mentioning how convenient it is to have one too. Every month hubby and I has to do same things for it.
If there are only car insurance companies who would do all this things  would be awesome, anyways we are paying for its insurance every year.
But with all these hassleness I am still thankful that all is done.

Cravings

I supposed to eat less since I will be attending two wedding soon and need to look nice on my dress and in the picture. But my appetite is not helping me at all because I am carving for food and really could go for a 2 piece chicken at Jollibee.  This is not good at all. I could feel the tightness of my jeans and t-shirts. Waaaaahh! what should I do now.
Our flight is getting closer means the wedding is getting closer too. I have no time for jogging and diet at all. I've tried to trim my diet but its no good. I just can't help it I feel I die when I don't eat at proper time. Crazy but true.  I am just assuming that this is because of my acidity.
So help me God with this.

Chicken Curry

I cooked chicken curry for lunch today. It was quite sometime the last time I cooked. I'm loving cooking again, although busyness is not over yet but we still have moment to breath.... and it feels good. I use an imported curry powder from Malaysia which we both when we went there. Don't worry it haven't reach its expiry date yet :).

*chicken
*potatoes
*carrots
*coconut milk
*curry powder
*onions, garlic, salt and sugar

saute chicken with garlic and onion, let it simmer for two minutes. Add half cup of water and two table spoon of curry powder and let it come to boil for another 3 minutes. Then add the carrots and potatoes plus the coconut milk and let it simmer for 5 minutes. add salt ad sugar the way you want it. Then serve.
Its easy as that.
Go now and make cook your own chicken curry!
Happy Monday... it's our off day!

I need body massage

My body aches because of hectic schedules and I really need a body massage. Just two night ago I asked hubby to put some ointment on my back because it was painful, and indeed when I woke in the morning the following day I felt relieve. But since our busyness is still going on I still feel the pain all over my body.
Hubby and I are actually looking for a cheap body massage where we could enjoy lying on massage table where someone massaging our aching bodies.
Hopefully soon hubby could feel my pain and gift me a body spa ticket.

A friend in the US

Our couple friends who are now residing and working in the US will be visiting home in December.  Its been more than two years now that we don't see them. The last time we saw each other was 2008 and they have no kids yet, but today they have two already, a girl and a boy. We are very excited to see them.
My friend work as a physical therapist in a hospital and her husband is doing church ministry. She got the job through health care jobs online I think. Most of the Filipinos are studying nursing courses to be able to work abroad because the paycheck is quite high that what our hospitals can offer here.
It's a bittersweet thing actually for Filipinos because you can't get a lot of money abroad but you need to leave your loved ones behind.
How I wish that our government can do something about our wages here so that Filipinos won't go out of the country anymore but render their service here instead.

Our Neighbor

There's a construction going on besides our office. Before it was a big house standing in there but now it's anymore. It seems that they are making a metal building. What troubles us though is the annoying sound of the machines they're using to build that place, specially when there are meeting going on. We can't hardly hear people talking. Part of me would like to tell them not to work on a Wednesday because its our team day, and during that time we mostly had meetings.
There is nothing we can do because they too are just workers and Wednesday is not  a holiday for them. But I wished  it is ( lol!) selfish me.  The sounds really annoys me to the max.
On the other side of the irritable feeling I had for these people outside of our office is the soft kind side too. Whenever I see them working hard, I can't help but pity these people, Because I knew that even though they worked hard, there salary is still not enough to give their family a good life. But my friend told me that at least they have work that nothing.

Annoying but most loved Team

My team is sometimes crazy, funny, lovely, amazing and annoying, but no matter what I just love to b in this team. I've been with this people  for quite sometimes or to make details most of them I knew since first day of my LJBC member life. To depart from them means heart aches. They are not just a teammate, they are family.
My team is composed of different characteristic from different individual. Sometimes we find it hard to understand the other but do it anyway because thats what team means.. bearing each other flaws.
I am probably known as one stubborn person in the team, my hubby is the gentle one (that if he quarrel's someone... that someone will be accused of quarreling him instead. lol!) I also have another teammates who is always busy but actually is not... she just thought she is.
Without each one of us our team will never be the same again.

Hubby's phone

Hubby needs a new phone because his is so outdated and broken. We are just waiting for the proper time :) when I say the proper time, what I really meant is when we have the funds for it. As of now he is contented of using it as long as it usable still. I have a friend though that bought a unlocked phone just last week. I took hold of it yesterday and its a really nice one. I am happy that he got a new one though since his old one looked don't good anymore since its overused!
As for hubby he can't do anything yet but wait for a while until our funds is ready I mean at hand for a new cellphone.

Baby Stuff

Baby... baby.. baby... ooooohhh! This is been I'm hearing with the kids all around, part of a song from Justine Bieber. Well, I am not writing about the though because if that songs is meant for girls mine is for a real baby that I would love to have someday.
Most of my married couple friends has babies now, while hubby and I haven't. We've been trying for quite sometime but nothing happens yet. But I am definitely confident in God's promise that He will give offspring. All I need to do now is wait!
Well talking about babies, I just remember that when you have a baby you also need a ergo baby carrier to carry your baby around. My friend's baby is not born yet and still in his moms tummy but his aunts just love him so much that he has three baby carrier, wow! can't help but wish that mine would come soon too. Thinking that my friend might give me some of her baby carriers. lol!

Fried fish

On Sunday, we went to one of my teams partner church to accompany a new arrived missionary friend. We thought that we are going to some restaurant for lunch, but our surprised a member who was blesses with our presence invited us to have lunch at their house instead. Of course we said yes. I enjoyed the fried fish, it was tasty, and aside from the fish we also had sinigang na hipon (wow!) It was hubby who enjoyed the sinigang though since hipon is one of his favorite seafoods.
As for me, I am just more than contented of my fried fish. hehehehe!

Pictures for Print

My friend tagged me a photo of four years ago that she uploaded on her facebook account. As a browse through the picture I can't help but smile since those pictures reminds me of happy days.  Also, in the picture includes my dear brother whom I don't see for three years now. I really missed him so much that I would like to color print his picture. I can't do it directly on our office computer since our printer prints only black and white.
I am hoping that my sister, myself and hubby would be able to see him next year because we are planning to go home for a short visit. It would be great to see my family again after such a long time.

Lost and Found Wallet

Hubby came home so anxious last night because he lost his wallet that contains our missionary ID, his driver license, our ATM, SM advantage card and some other receipts and id pictures. I was sad because it will take us sometimes and would cost us money to get for a new one.
Today, we decided to go and get a drivers license for hubby, but before doing that, he also went to his school to see if they have it there. So I waited for him at a restaurant in front of his school because it was lunch time. ooh goodness he came back to me smiling because staff of his school found it. whew! thank you Lord! What a beautiful day!

T.G.I Fridays

A week ago the SBC team brought us to T.G.I Fridays for dinner as their way of thanking us for coordinating things for them. It was fun and I was full too.
I ordered the burger and to my surprised it was so big that it won't fit in my big mouth. I did not finished it, but it was still more than half so I decided to bring it home.
Hubby and I had planned of going there actually after the teams gone, but thanks to the Lord for He made it more fun for us in that place with friends. I felt so much blessed as always.

Malunggay Ice Candy

Two weeks ago I went to a street kids center and was given an opportunity to help the staff prepare the kids food. Part of their menu was an ice candy made of malunggay (malunggay is a vegetable that has many health use).
They: took some malunggay leaves, boiled it. They took all the leaves leaving just the water alone, pour out some  cassava flour, stirred it until it went smooth or soupy. Then added up some sugar and evaporated milk. Put it aside to cool for 20 minutes and put it in a small ice candy plastic, put it in the freezer for two hours then serve with a smile.
Imagine the kids face turns light. They enjoyed it so much!

some sample of ice candy (not madeof malunngay though).

Kailangan Tgalog

No time to cook :(

I have been busy these past few days and cooking is an impossible thing. We are most eating outside or more on food chains because we have visitors and we need to accompany them wherever.
Hubby was actually craving on home cooked food.  Last night hubby and I had dinner at Jollibee, lunch a cash and carry mall food court then jollibee again tonight with our missionaries guest. Ooh... goodness... so much fats intake, coz after jollibee we went to  Starbucks for coffee. I'm feel like running 5k. Then tomorrow  is another same day again. Through all of this I am still thankful I've got this opportunity to be with these twelve beautiful young people.
No more cooking today till' next week!

Sigh

Our camera has no battery, hubby is contemplating of buying a new rechargeable battery or selling our camera and buy a new one.
I really would like to have a camera for my food blogging. As you have noticed I don't have new pictures to post in here because I don't have any.
I'm sad :( though,  I don't want to give up our camera since it was a gift from a dear couple friend, but hubby is decided already.
Hope we'll get one soon!
happy tuesday everyone!

In pursuit of a Coriander

Last night hubby and I went from one supermarket to the other looking for a coriander but did not find any. So out of my curiosity I went to the internet and googled it. Then to my surprised, I found out that I knew what it is just in different name "Cilantro" goodness! name is really important it varies from place to place.

"Organic coriander powder generally known as "Dhania" is cultivated for centauries. Coriander is considered both an herb and a spice since both its leaves and seeds are used as seasoning condiment. Organic coriander was originally introduced from Asia, Egyptians and then to the Europeans, as an aromatic stimulant and spice. Great Ayurvedic physicians, Hippocrates and other Greek physicians in digestive formularies employed it. Fresh coriander leaves are more commonly known as cilantro and bear a strong resemblance to Italian flat leaf parsley since they belong to the same plant family Umbelliferae." -www.theepicentre.com/Spices/coriander.html

This is a coriander or cilantro

whew! It's free to dream, and that's what I am doing just right now :)

B-day food! :)

This is a bizarre arrangements of the food we had on my birthday. We really don't have  a party at our house because I felt like I do't want to have many people. So we did not invite other friends but only my closest one. Every dish came from my visitor friend.
I am so thankful that God has given me beautiful friends not only the outside appearance but most of all their inwards one.
